Hey guys and Happy Sunday! I’m just popping in to share the most perfect Sunday morning breakfast with you, this Raspberry Fig Smoothie Bowl.
Isn’t it just too pretty?
Besides eating ’em right out of the carton, smoothie bowls are my favorite way to take advantage of the deliciously sweet flavor of fresh figs, which are in season right now.
This smoothie bowl combines raspberries, banana, and fresh figs (all great sources of energizing carbohydrates) with ground flax (for healthy omega-3 fats and protein) and a generous helping of cinnamon (for added flavor and blood sugar stability).
Topped with more fresh figs, almonds, cacao nibs, and sunflower seeds, this smoothie bowl is a satisfying sweet treat that also happens to qualify as a perfectly balanced breakfast too.
I’ll be sharing the full recipe in today’s Sunday Paper email newsletter.
